Fenix Jazz Guitar
1 in stock
Here’s a guitar you don’t see too often… lovely rare and collectible instrument!
Here’s some info on the Fenix Story:
Fenix Guitars were made by Young Chang in South Korea. Young Chang is not a single real person as some guitar bloggers refer to it, the name is formed from the names of the two of the three brothers who set the company up, Young and Chang. They currently make some World Class pianos and have done so for many years. As you might imagine this involves the very finest ability to work with various woods and finishes to produce acoustic perfection.
During the late 1980s and early 1990s, the Young Chang company manufactured the Squire range of electric guitars and basses on behalf of Fender of America and later in the program they also manufactured acoustic, acoustic/electric, electric guitars and some legendary basses under their own ‘Fenix’ brand, however, because these items were very similar (and some say better than) Fender’s own, American built, instruments, Young Chang seem to have had a bust up with Fender over licensing issues and production stopped.
These excellent guitars are now rare, unique and collectible. Once they start on the brand, Fenix owners tend to have several different models in their collection. When they decided to make Acoustic Electric arch-top jazz guitars Young Chang researched well and looked generally towards the Gibson range (what else!) for style and finish.”
The pickup and circuitry are all original fitment. Comes with semi-rigid padded soft case.
